    I've been recording from my satellite using Virtual VCR and it does great. The only problem, I have to be setting there at the pc to start it recording.

    Is there a good program out there that will record in .avi format that has a scheduler like Power VCR or something?

    IUVcr is a good program. Actually it's a great program. The only downside to it is it's schedualer is a little clunky. PowerVCR is a great program, I love the interface.....too bad it doesn't do AVI!
