I'm posting this in the hopes that DVDBuff is reading it, and willing to share his expertise with us.

I'm not being sarcastic in any way.

He and I have traded a few messages in private - he initially asked me "can you do a full-disc PAL->NTSC conversion, because when I try the menus are messed up and the audio is out of sync".

And I replied, as many of us on here are wont to do, with:

"Nope. Rip the main movie only, and re-encode that. The menus just won't happen."

After a couple of messages he wrote back that he had managed to do it, and the entire process had only taken a couple of hours. He based it on some guide (which to be honest I haven't read - I don't do the "guides" unless I really get stuck) with a bunch of tweaks and changes.

I replied that he ought to post in here on how to do it, because we're all DYING to know a way to do this!

He hasn't gotten back to me yet.

But I sincerely hope he posts here. I think he'd be a folk hero of sorts, since right now there's NO way that I know of (or anyone else on here knows of) to do a full PAL->NTSC conversion with menus and extras.

So, here's hoping!
