I just downloaded my first ever movie from website. When I try to play it on Windows Media Player I get sound but no video, bottom left of screen says codec error. Can someone help me by telling me what I need to do in order to get the movie to play on Windows Media. I have XP Home OS and latest version of Windows Media Player. Thank you very much for your help.

Download Gspot from the Tools to the left and use it to see what codec is required. You can find most of the common codecs there also. It may be Divx. Windows Media player is not the best for playing different formats.
