  1. The original avi is ok and virtualdub doesn't send me a vbr error message or something..
But after encoding with TMPGEnc the mpeg2 file is out of sync 1sec the whole time ?? I have tried multiplexing also but no help there..
Is there a way to fix this ?? with the mpeg2 file I mean ??

The idea is to get the audio if the synch problem is constant, to add silence if it is too short, or cut it if it is too long. If the synch is gradual you use the Time Warp function in your favorite audio encoder. Mine is Gold Wave. What's yours?

If you're using TMPGEnc, you could also use the "Audio gap correct" feature, for some curious reason found in the "Source range" dialog ("Advanced" tab).
