    I have burned movies to cdr and need to convert to dvd to play
    on dvd player. is there a way? thank you.

    There's several ways, try here.

    All of the methods involve stripping the mpeg from the disk, making them DVD compatible (some more compatible than others), then authoring and burning. How compatible you make your file is up to you, but you have several choices. (S)VCD has 44.1 KHz audio and should be resampled to 48 KHz to be DVD spec. SVCD video resolution is not DVD spec but it will still work an many DVD players (esp. if they play SVCD already) and some authoring programs will accept it and some won't. To be completely DVD compatible your SVCD video needs to be re-encoded, your choice. VCD video is DVD spec. SVCD2DVD is a commonly used method.
