  1. I have weired problem. I am using studio 8.10 and have created several dvd for my home video.
    I have issue with one of them. When I complete editing it shows me about 13 GB of free space against 8.2 GB needed to create disk. It starting rendering and then after 5 hrs (aftere completing rendering) give me error that there is not enough room on D: Free up some space and try again? Now there is about 5.6 GB free space left. Is there any work around for this?
    Does any one have seen this error? Any help appreciated-B

  2. Try running scandisk on your drive
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author

  3. Tried with Scandisk and same thing. I think Pinnacle Studio has a bug and not calculating space properly. It does not make any sense as when I start making movie, it say I have more then double space and after randering it complaints about space.-B

    I'm using version 8.8, but I think the 8.2 GB it says it needs to create a disk is actually about 4 GB short of what it actually needs. The 8.2 is used to create the files used to create the disk, then it needs another 4 GB or so to actually create the disk. It may be off in calculating free disk space, so if it needs 4 GB and you have 5.6 free it may not think there's enough space.

    While a defrag or scandisk might help, I think your best solution is to clear up some more space on the drive.

  5. BOBK,

    You were right. I was able to create disk last night by using other disk where I had about 15 GB space free. I think Studio miscalculating disk space or need some temp space to create final files.-B
