  1. Hello,
I have a problem with converting / rendering my AVI's into DVD compatiable files. The problem I am having is the audio is sometimes out of sync. What is the best way or what is the best program to use to keep this from happening? I do not want to capture, convert, and then re-render with having to make an audio adjustment. I just want to capture, convert / render and burn. Finding the audio and matching it with the video is time consuming and a pain...! So, is there a program that is top notch, above the rest when it comes to converting / rendering an AVI file to Dvd compatiable files which the audio is sync with the video?

Any feedback would be great and thanks in advance.

  2. If your audio is out of sync in your original AVI capture then you
have a problem. You may need to tweak or change your capturing
software/hardware. No encoder can fix a sync problem unless
it relates to frame rate variance (ie. frame rate changes during
capture). If it is a frame rate issue, then TMPGENC is the solution,
otherwise see the guides on capturing and try out the various
free and trial commercial capture programs on the market. There
is no ONE best solution to suit all users unfortunately.

The most common cause of poor A/V sync is bad frames in the video stream. No encoder can solve that problem, you may need to fix your capture method.
