    Small problem
    Friends in usa sending dvd vids of family - but in nstc

    how do i convert to pal

    tried splitting to avs/m2v but wher did ac3 audio file go to
    used dvd2avi
    avisynth
    tmgenc

    any ideas of a simlper way - this one didnt't work out for me

    You can do this with dvd2svcd (now also dvd2dvd). Just tick the ntsc to pal box and it will do everything for you.

    Are you sure you even need to convert? Most UK players/TVs play both fine. :c)

    Also bought a dvd when i as on holiday
    tring to get it to pal

    hav dvd2svcd will give it a try

    Just tried Sefys guide to dvd rip/copy/author
    the resulting dvd has the lip sync out a cuople of
    seconds

    Anyone advise where i may be going wrong

    Using dvd2svcd(dvd)
    Tmpegenc
    Tmpegenc author
    copying nstc dvd to pal dvd

  6. I Don't think you need to do any conversion to PAL as most if not all of the DVD Players in PAL regions do a NTSC to PAL playback.

    Here's the simple solution to your problem.

    Take your NTSC DVD and put it into your PAL DVD player.

    Press play.
