I just got nero and I am trying to use Nero Vision Express 2 in order to author an mpeg2 file. I really just want to burn it so that I can play it on dvd players. The problem is that Vision Express is reencoding my already encoded mpeg2 file making the video very choppy and jumpy. The sound is alright, but the video is horrible. Am I doing something wrong? What should I do?

I tried the new Nero 6.0 a month ago. Used it to author some ripped commercial DVD clips with DD 5.1 sound. I don't think it did anything to the videos, but it did convert DD 5.1 files to 2.0. Other than that everything else looked fine.

Yes I have been testing out Nero Vision Express 2 as well. It has the pluggin and seems to transcode already compliant MPEG2 files produced by TMPGenc. Is there anyway of getting Nero just to use the MPEGs without re-coding - as Ulead's DVD Moviefactory 2 does?
Thanks. -
It turns out that the video is only scewed up when I watch it on my PC, but after I burned it and watched it on a DVD player, it worked fine. The only problem was that it started off saying it would take about 50 minutes to complete the whole process and then by the time it was finished, it wound up taking 2 hours.
