Creating our own Quick Presets?

I've been creating my VCDs using similar sets of custom preferences: is there a way to save my custom preferences as a Quick Preset?

You can use "Save preset" from the File menu, and load the preset by double-clicking its icon.

It might be a little more obvious to some users if the save/load preset selections were also mirrored in the "Quick Presets" pull down menu, as that is where you usually see such an option in other mac apps.
