  1. Dear All,

I want to buy dvd authoring software, which also supports DTS audio.
I saw DVD-LAB, but I am wondering about delivering dvd-masters to a pressing factory. I don't see anything regarding Macrovision or CSS copy protection. Anybody have experience in this area.
Is this done in the factory or do I need more professional software to accomplisch that. (I saw dvd studio pro 2 supports it, but it's only MAC)

    Any tips are welcome.

    regards,

    RJB

Wasting your time RBJ. There is no such thing as "copy protection" .Except maybe putting the disks in a safety deposit box.
Peruse this site, there are proberly a dozen applications whose sole purpose is to remove what you are trying to install. . If you still desire to protect your disks, then YES professional software is required.

  3. holistic,

I need to author some music-dvd's for recordlabels with dts,ac-3 streams.
I am not worried about the copying, but just to deliver in the right format.
I know it can be copied with great ease on the computer, but that is besides the point.

Could you give some tips on which software packages to use for PC. (pref. which also support DLT and not in the $$$$$-range)

    Any help would be appreciated.

Side note : I use DVDLab and it will accept AC3
I use AC3machine (BeSweet) to encode my wave files. Some say it is not "pure" AC3 but I have had no issues ...yet.
Perhaps Sonic Scenarist is you best choice if you are to be authoring music-dvd's for recordlabels. I believe it comes with an AC3 encoder also.
