  1. Hi everyone! OK, here's my problem: I have an AVi file on my computer playing smoothly and with no problems. When I convert this AVI file to MPEG2 with tools such as WINMPG or PINNACLE STUDIO 8, the results are OK, but these tools don't have any filters or other interesting options, so I tried to make the conversion through TMPGenc. The problem here is that whenever I use pal/25 fps, the resulting MPEG2 file drops frames or makes the picture skip, as if it would need more frame rating. Exactly, if I convert the file to NTSC/29.75 fps the resulting MPEG plays OK and smoothly. Obiously as I live in Europe my dvd player is PAL system. What can I do?? What am I missing in TMPGenc?? I've tried all different options, but with no luck. I've changed the bitrating, the GOPS, interlacing...etc. I've been trying it for a couple of weeks so far...Can anybody help me please?

You already have that exact question here: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=183652

    with a reply.

A mod may come along and remove one because it is cross-posting. Best to keep just one going at a time.

You can help the mods spot it by going into your original post (above) and changing the subject to "mod -please remove" or something like that.

  3. Yeah, thanx and sorry for the triple question...I've just used the forum a couple of times and didn't know it...Anyway I posted another reply in the "Capture" forum because it's the only one where I got an answer, but I've already tried what they told me there and it didn't work either...
    Thanx again.
