Hi all,
I'm converting my DV Home movies to DVD Compliant (MPEG2), is there any filter that I need to know to get maximum image quality ?
Is there any pros in using AVISYNTH ? what do I get from using it ?

Here is an article for what to filter in/out afetr capture. AviSynth could be like the answer to your prayers or an uneeded step, depending on what your needs are. It basically lets you run your video through two programs but encoding only once. An exmple would be adding logos and subtitlles in Virtual Dub filters and encoding to a DVD format in TMPGEnc.
