    I'm trying to transfer my dvd tapes from sony trv 16e camcorder throug the firewire port. The video comes over fine but the audio pops and cut out. Playback direct on tv the audio is ok, and pops and cut outs are not heard. I have tried following software: Premiere 6.5, Pinnacle Studio 8, Ulead Media Studio Pro. They all do the same. In my PC P4 2.66 Ghz, 512 MB RAM, soundcard SB Live 5.1 are no IRQ problems as far as i can see.
    Anyone have suggestions ?

    This might not be the best fix but if you have a ATI AIW card capture with analog S-video and RCA jack's. I have found ATI AIW are very good with bad tape's.
