  1. Would it be ok to incode 2 vidoes at once with these system specs.

    P4 2.8 with 800 fsb, 1 gig DDR 400 RAM

    EDIT: Sorry, had a long day. Simple answer, NO. Encoding video is very CPU/Memory intensive. I usually see 90-100% CPU use. I don't see any way you can do 2 at once. You may be able to upgrade your system/Computer to achieve faster speeds.

  3. what are you using as an encoder? I know that your question is actually, encoding 2 videos at one time and the previous poster is right, its not. You can do it, but it'll probably take longer than if you did it as a batch job.

    The batch job, would be my recommendation. If you have TMPGENC, you can set it up to do batches fairly easily. I use dvd2svcd to do batch conversions.
