Is it possible to burn several SVCD's on one DVD and still watch it on a stand alone DVD player?
Or should I just burn them in DVD format and thus use more DVD's?

  2. VCS, SVCD cannot be burned on DVD recordable.

you should make CVD instead of SVCD.. they are both the same.. only the res is sifferent.. but on TV it plays the same.

OK I converted some of my avi's to MPG2 the size is about 450MB so I can put 10 of them onto a DVD (In theory). I understand i cannot make it SVCD on a DVD-R. Now you tell me something about CVD but what will this do, is this an option that works on 90% of the standalone DVD-Players? And what will the size do to a CVD when you compare it to my MPG2 (450MB) files? I can convert my AVI's immediately to DVD but then it will take up 15% of my space on a DVD that means I only can get 6 episodes onto a DVD while the AVI source is only 170 MB. Maybe the best option for me is to just backup my episodes as their original extension to a dvd and watch them with TV-Out.

If you guys have questions plz ask ?!?

BTW I'll check what CVD is?

The video GOP is too long.

The video GOP is too long
For a standard DVD it is necessary that the GOP fulfill the following condition:

Max 36 fields (18 frames) (NTSC format only)
Max 30 fields (15 frames) (PAL format only)

I'm using TMPGenc Author, I get this error ! Using ES:MPG and not the first header but the complete stream. How to solve?

  6. Use DVDlab, SVCD with ac3 sound or mpeg sound without problem.
