Hi im a newbie ive got a new panasonic multi burner, just wondering is there anyway i can speed up ripping a dvd as at the momemt its taking approx an hour and a half to rip to hard drive and ive read some people can rip in 15mins, it also take 30-1hour to burn but i can understand that,but the thing is withthe slow ripping speed and burn speed its taking about 3 hoursSo if anyway one can help i would appreciate it.

your burner is limited to ripping at 2x, you need to get a seperate dvd rom drive for ripping, this will allow faster ripping, or you could use hacked firmware for your writer to increase ripping speeds

Take a look at http://rpc1.org, they may have some firmware that might interest you?
