Have been using the Adaptec 4300 for several months with no problem. The included VideoWave 4 SE(light) software is good for capture too. I wasn't impressed with the MPEG output but you can just save as an AVI format and use another encoder. I used the card and capture software with my friend's Sony DV camera and my new JVC miniDV camera. Both were recognized and you can control the cameras with software on-screen buttons. I was tempted to upgrade to VideoWave 5 full version which comes out this month, but I am now leaning toward Ulead's MediaStudio 6.5 Director's Cut. Does anyone have this yet?
Anyway the card is great. No problem. -
another thing, it's not my dv camera, it's my friend, o borrowed it cuz i don't have 2200$, is there a good budget dv camera out there somewhere?
