  1. Hi, I have succesfully converted an avi media file to a svcd mpg file and my intention was to cut it and put each half on a CDR.

In TMPGenc I select Tools/Merge and Cut to a MPEG2 SVCD file. I cut the file in half (ish) and then click on Run. It produces an audio and video file, then starts to multiplex, but after about 70% TMPGenc tells me thare was a stream writing error.

I used TMPGenc to convert the file so why should it produce this error?
How do I cut the 1.6Gb file in half now?

    Thanks

Stream writing error can sometimes suggest you've run out of disk space. Are you sure there is enought room on your hard drive ?

  3. 1) its easier to use the source range option in tmpgenc to encode each half of the movie, rather then cutting the whole thing.

    2) Womble MPEG2VCR is a real good cutter.
