Does any one of you work with Windows 2000.
The only version of TMPGEnc that is working correctly under Windows 2000 at my PC is version a. All other versions crash. The same thing happens with VirtualDub. The moment I load an AVI file the system crashes. It doesn't matter whether they are OpenGL, Avi 1.0 or frame servered.
Does anyone have a clue?

yes I work with W2000 for som etime now, and used TMPGEnc 12a to 2.0 with no problem!
VirtualDub didn't gave me any problems as well.
So I think you must look further then those software packets..
Perhaps you can try to upgrade (or even downgrade!) your videocard driver. -
i had the same problems when i upgraded my system to an athlon 1.4 GHz even after a fresh install of 2000. After i got tired of the problems i just formated and reinstalled all my drivers and the programs and it has worked great ever since.
