    I have a problem in joining 2 avi files as they have 2 different audio sample rates and i cannot find the guide 2 help me.

    normally i:
    join avi with vdub
    strip wave with vdub
    convert to mpeg2 with tmpgenc
    author dvd with tmpgenc dvd
    burn.

    run the files thru virtualdub and choose direct processing for video and full processing for audio for both,then join

    do i save video as direct stream copy
    what do i save file as ?

    save as direct stream for video and full stream for audio then open the first file with virtualdub then open the second avi file as append avi segment and then save as anyname.avi with direct stream for video and full stream for audio

    before joining files do i save avi or wave or both, how?.

    What you're doing is saving new avi's with wav audio. You should be able to join them after that.

    If not, then you need something like Goldwave to create wav files from the audio. Re-load the wav files back into each avi and try joining them again.

    did not need to use goldwave although i have used it before and think its a great programe.
