  3. I get good results capturing from Tivo. It's somewhere between VHS and DVD in the end result.

I saw this in a book store a few weeks ago, made me chuckle. I have about 5 or 6 good links for hacking Tivo to get the video off the drive into you computer if anyone want them. I considered getting a tivo or replay, but the subscription bothered my. Now I have the Bungholio working well, and I don't care about it, just to lazy to delete the links.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

I just got a ReplyTV. Main reason I got it versus a TiVo was the fact that ReplayTV comes with the capability to network to PCs and other ReplayTVs already built in with no hacking.

I got mine networked to my PC, through ethernet wire, and my girlfriends Mac via wireless.

So far I downloaded a couple of shows and been able to make VCD mpgs out of them with DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc.

Quality is about the same as when I capture them with my PC's capture card.
