I wanted to know if it is even possible to create goggles such as that worn by Ed in Cowboy BeBop. Is there anyway to make an lcd screen to fit within a set of goggles and be used as a monitor?

Never seen coyboy bebop, but they already have goggles used for monitors. THey have been around for a few years.

The answer is, yes for low res video. For high res computer display is also yes, but you can't afford them, and they are huge! You can make smaller units than those Sony's, but you still have to put the electronics somewhere, and that somewhere is going to be on your head. So for practicle purpose, you will want to wait a few years. If you want examples of the high res units, find some pictures of the Head Mounted Dislays that the military uses with some of their flight systems, and notice how much larger the helmet is compared to the normal helmets. Those also eliminate the eyestrain be focus ing the image through a more complex system, and some distance. I've never had a good close look at one of those, but would love the opportunity to use one and inspect its construction. They are also commonly eye movement tracking too, another benefit of having it projected rather than direct view. That would make for some really great game play. Imagine looking to the side, and seeing the game change to follow your gaze.
So I guess, for as small as you want, maybe the answer is not yet.Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
