  1. Hi
I´m a newbie to this so i guess i´m in the right forum....
I´m trying to make svcd discs that play in my Standalone Mustek Dv300 player.
I´m using Nero 5.5.1.0 and im burning on an Aopen 52cdburner using mostly Benq discs but have also tried other brands...
Every svcd i burn tend to start out fine as long as i use Vcdgear to make mpgfiles outof binfiles, but after about 15 minutes or moore into each disc the picture gets scrambled with large blocks and jumps ie: just doesnt work....
Is this a common newbie problem, has it got something to do with she burning process since the original plays fine on my computor?
If i haven´t given enough info plz let me know and i´ll try to fill in the blanks......

Have you tried the disk on another DVD player? Try burning at a slower speed, 8x or so. Try some different disks, maybe an RW. Try not extracting the mpeg, just burn the bin straight to disk.

  3. Hi and thanx for answering.
Well, if i dont extract the mpeg first my dvd just doesnt play them, and as far as speed is concerned, ive tried lowering it to 16 today, still no luck, going for 8 tomorrow. Ive tried 5 different brands of discs, but mainly mmore and memorex. The movies ive burnt directly from bin is working fine in other players, but no i havent tried the extracted ones....
Strange thing is though that if i do the vcdheadertrick the play fine as vcd.......otherwise i get the scrambled picture on all of them....

So your player apparently plays vcd's and svcd's only when you do the header trick!
