  1. I have an ATI all in wonder rage pro 128. I want to capture video from my PRV, a sony ultimate Tv reciever. I want to capture an hour with of video. In best quality, the digital VCR says I can only get 46 min. My harddrive has 40 gigs of free space. My question is, what is the best and fastest way to capture an hour worth or video from the Ultimate TV reciever and put it on Super VCD using Nero or any other program that is better so that I may watch my shows on my personal DVD player.

    Thanks,

    Elton

Is it saving to an uncompressed AVI file? Those get big quick. You should trying using a compression codec. There are several that work well and use lots less space: HuffyUV, MJPEG, and DIVX. Also, see if you can capture to MPEG. It uses lots less space too.

There are -excellent- guides over there to your left that will teach you to do exactly what you want. (Except for getting a full hour onto an svcd.) Go forth, young man, and learn. Once you've read the guides, come back with any new questions and we'll be waiting.

    Good luck!
