  1. Here is the deal, everything has worked fine on my machine until about 4 weeks ago. Every movie that I frameserve from Virtual Dub into TMPGEnc encodes great. I always save the audio in a wav file and then frameserve to encode. The problem is, I can't split the final MPEG-2 file. It will load into the "tools" option and then when I double click it to split the file it freezes my TMPEGenc program. I dl another mpeg-2 splitter and all of the files freeze that program as well. Can anyone tell me why I can't get these file cut so I can burn them?

    Peace

I hope you have the latest version. The older versions were notorious for doing that. If you do have a new version, try a system restore.

    gmpman,

I have also used TMPGEnc for cutting. It is strictly hit or miss with this program. This is a GREAT program, but cutting is not its strength. MPEG2VCR is my new proggie of choice. Had it for about a month now, cut about 10 DVDs and 5 SVCDs. Very easy, precise, accurate and FAST FAST FAST!!!! Did I ay fast? I would say it is the Virtualdub of mpeg when it comes to cutting.
