Corrupt or missing file in Pinnacle Studio 8

I have Pinnacle Studio 8 and am having trouble with it. It says I have a corrupt or missing file. The name of the file is DEPOP.DXR

I have tried re-installing it and I get the same thing. Does anyone have this file they could send me so I can get back to capturing?

It is missing on the desktop. It's not on the CD either. Must be in some compressed file somewhere.........

Your best bet would be to do what redd says. Just uninstall and reinstall. Even if you find a copy of the file, unless someone at pinnacle gives it to you or says its ok, I would not trust it. At least until you know what the file does.

That file goes in the "Guided Tour" directory of Studio 8. Try re-installing using the "Custom" install option and deselect the Guided Tour. You really don't need it anyway.

I emailed you the file if you'd rather go that route but I'd be willing to bet you're missing other stuff as well.

My experience with Studio 8 is even if you had every file with a perfect install all you could expect when you run the program is a complete computer lockup requiring a cold boot.
