I have Pinnacle Studio 8 and am having trouble with it. It says I have a corrupt or missing file. The name of the file is DEPOP.DXR

I have tried re-installing it and I get the same thing. Does anyone have this file they could send me so I can get back to capturing?
    My e-mail address is john@lt1intake.com

    Thanks so much!

  2. Is it corrupt or is it missing?

Have you tried contacting Pinnacle for a copy?

It is missing on the desktop. It's not on the CD either. Must be in some compressed file somewhere.........

I have e-mailed Pinnacle but got no response........

  4. Your best bet would be to do what redd says. Just uninstall and reinstall. Even if you find a copy of the file, unless someone at pinnacle gives it to you or says its ok, I would not trust it. At least until you know what the file does.

  5. That file goes in the "Guided Tour" directory of Studio 8. Try re-installing using the "Custom" install option and deselect the Guided Tour. You really don't need it anyway.

I emailed you the file if you'd rather go that route but I'd be willing to bet you're missing other stuff as well.

  6. My experience with Studio 8 is even if you had every file with a perfect install all you could expect when you run the program is a complete computer lockup requiring a cold boot.

My experience with Studio 8 is, as I have every file, a completely flawless 'capture' (DV) and perfect output with superb effects and transitions.
    Every time.
