  1. Hello, my backup DVD freeze on my Kenwood 3060. Generally the film freeze at 75% and sometimes the DVD can't play at all.
    I have a pioneer 106 D 1.07 and i have tried a Sony DRU-500a. I use SmartRipper 2.41 and DVD Shrink 3 b 5.
    To burn the DVD-R, i use Nero 6.0.19 or CopyTODVD at Speed 2x.

    I have tried different type of media : Princo (2x), Princo (4X), Primedisc (4x => i have read that it's a Ritek G04).

    The DVD-R work on my PC, Kiss DP-450, Samsung 224 but not on my Kenwood ???

    Have you an Idea ?

    Thanks in advance

    Have you looked up the Kenwood under DVD Players on the left? Some times players have trouble with different media - even speeds it's burned at.

    Look for other owner comments on what works best/worst for them.
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1
    The Rogue Pixel: Pixels are like elephants. Every once in a while one of them will go nuts.

  3. I've got an A05 and have suffered exactly the same problem.The original bundled pioneer discs locked-up. I then purchased 25 Datawrite Clasic 4X. All gave the same result. I sought advice using various sites and got the same reply. Use Ritek discs. My next door neighbour lent me three different Ritek discs all worked perfectly. Maybe there's a problem with Princo discs that they're not admitting to. On the strength of my experiences I've just ordered 25 Ritek 4X G04 coated discs. Hopefully problem solved.

  4. Thanks for your answers.

    I have read a lot and i have bought Ritek G04 => Media Primedisc.
    Do you have bought Original Ritek or like me Primedisc or Traxdata.

    Same result with the Primedisc, freeze at the end. I have try to burn the Primedisc guarented 4x at 1x. I don't know if it's better to burn a disk in 1x than 4x with media guarented 4x ?????
