  1. I have a 650MB .avi file that is encoded in XviD. I am trying to convert it to an MPEG-2 with TMPGEnc Plus, but when I do I get audio (.wav) but the video is a blank screen. I am stumped because I have converted a couple XviD avi's before with no problems. I scanned the file with Virtual Dub to check for errors and had no problems there either. I even got another copy of the file just in case the one I had was corrupt and still got the same problem.

    Do I need another XviD codec or something? The file plays fine in Windows Media Player.

  2. Try increasing the Directshow filter priority in Tmpgenc environmental settings.

  4. in TMPGEnc - Option->Environmental setting->VFAPI plug-in

    then find the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader

    right-click on it and you'll see an option for Higher Priority.

  5. Options menu, Environmental settings, VFAPI plug-in tab. Right click 'DirectShow multimedia File Reader' Select 'higher priority'. Repeat until it is at the top of the list and its value in the priority column is 3 or 4.
