I just bought meself a pioneer 106d, and may i say i been more than happy with it so far.

For ages i have been watching films in avi/mpeg/div/xvid on my computer becuase i couldnt be bother burning vcds and watching them downstairs on our widescreen a philips 957 setup.

However, now that i got the pioneer it makes sense to me to get a few
-rw/+rw (wich supposedly work with my dvd player) and burning the films on to disk.

    My question is this:

How do i go about doing it?

Can i have more than one film on a single disk? (if i did how would i choose wich film i wanted to watch)

    Many thanks in advance

Well for starters, try being more specific. Without some detail of what you want to accomplish, we really cant help much...but here goes, first you have to encode your file to the appropriate format(mpeg1 for vcd's and mpeg2 for dvd's) and you can use something like tmpgenc to convert. Then use a burning program like vcdeasy or nero to burn. About fitting more than one film on one cd, yes. To do this, you have to lower the bitrate when you convert(tmpgenc gives you the option) and you can make it any size you want. Keep in mind that the more you lower the bitrate, quality will go down accordingly. Hope that helps.
