Okay, i'm about to place a wager on this Sunday's lineup. It's going to be a 9-team parlay which is very unlikely to win, but i'm sure about most of my picks except for two. Maybe you guys could help me with them. Who would you pick? Eagles or Giants at New York? and what about Chargers and Browns at Cleveland?

baltimore @ cincy = baltimore, cincy sucks, baltimore is tough.

denver @ minnesota = minnesota, but it could be a close one since culpepper is coming back from an injury..

new england @ miami = miami, they're at home, plus new england was an early season flash in the pan

philly @ ny giants = giants, they're at home & mcnabb has too much "pride" (rush limbaugh) to take his injured ass out..

tennessee @ carolina = carolina, superb defense, tennessee has recently become strong, but against mediocre teams.

dallas @ detroit = dallas, they're flying high.. but hopefully not too high to over look a young and trigger happy lions team.

green bay @ st. louis = who ******* knows? both teams have underachieved this year, green bay isnt a turf team, st. louis is at home.. i say st. louis.

nawlins @ atlanta = atlanta, they're a decent team without vick, nawlins just sucks..

san diego @ cleveland = cleveland, they're at home, they're a good team, and san diego is going down the shitter.

washington @ buffalo = buffalo, their defense will exploit the fun & gun offense washington uses.. then washington will turn to the ground and get shut down..

ny jets @ houston = houston, who would have expected that a expansion team in its second year would do so well? thats the new era of expansion teams for you..

chicago @ seattle = seattle, great defense vs a shitty bears team.. too easy..

tampa bay @ san fran = tampa bay, good defense against a crappy niners team..

KC @ oakland = KC all the way..

i wouldnt count mcnabb out either, but he has a hand injury on his throwing hand.. not many qb's can be effective for an entire game with that injury.. and mcnabb wasnt very effective against the cowboys..

his pride is getting in the way of what is best for his team..

he should bench himself, but he doesnt want to make rush limbaugh look right.

So with all that said and done I'm going 5 for 5 on

Dallas over Detroit - I know Dallas can win, and I know they can win by at least 4 points

Baltimore over Bengals- I'm suprised they only gave the Bengals 2 points, the ravens are going to walk all over them.

Carolina over Tennessee- Panthers are on fire and if they can beat the Colts, they can beat the Titans by more than 2 points

New England over Miami- I'm a Pats fan all the way, but I dont bet blindly. If Miami wins, it wont be by more than 6 points, so I take Pats

Jets over Houston- They won a game finally and Chad is almost ready to come back, look for team morale to take them to a victory

Those bets are called 'SUCKER' bets. I guarantee you will NEVER win any of them. If you are going to parlay, it must absolutely be 5 teams or less..and even then..you are asking to just throw your dockets away.

The smartest plays are reverses and Teasers. I know betting small on those 10 games teasers are enticing..but even if you bet $5 ..you are just throwing it out the window. Some places offer 4 team 13 point teasers
@ -130 ...that's about as solid as you can get. You can usually only have one total in that type of "special" teaser...and totals are always as close of a lock as you can get. So Pick one total..and then take your three favorite plays.

And you said you will win $100 if you bet $5 on a 9 team parlay? My goodness..the person taking your plays is calling you SUPER SUCKER....the odds for a 8 team parlay in any legit sport book are 100/1 which means on an 8 teamer you'd win $500 by laying $5. You are only getting 20/1 ...wow...the guy taking plays from people like you is laughing his ass off every week.

And hey..yea, it's your money....throw the five bucks away....that's your money....I'm trying to do you a favor and save you the rest of the season which would be about $50. I think that's a nice gesture on my part.

Oh..by the way...you aren't the only sucker who plays those cards....but I can assure you that some book is got his cigar in his mouth..fired up real nicely just waiting for this Sunday and more people like you. And it's defininitely clear your doing the "SUCKER CARDS" because all your lines are even spreads...there are no "HALF POINTS" ..which shows you are getting suckered right there. Some of those lines should be 1/2 point less then what they are. The chances of you winning a LEGIT 9 teamer with those cards is over 250/1 ...you don't have a chance.

well defense, i started this post and after reading what you wrote i think you're being an ass. So this guy wants to bet $5 on something that he thinks will win and u say is impossible, SO WHAT. Is it worth the $5 a week to maek 5 games on sunday more exciting? i think so, i personally think it is possible to win a 9 team parlay, i don't know much about betting on stuff like this so all this line/spread stuff u guys are talking about is unknown to me, thats why i don't bet on that, i just bet on the winning team, and to me, if i win i win a lot, if i lose, i only lose $20 of the $120 i won last week off a 3-team parlay. It's obvious neither of you have any clue about placing bets...it's only little money so it's all good. But that's how suckers get started...they get taken week in and week out until they get frustrated and do what's called "DOUBLING" and "TRIPLING" up...trying to recoup their money..it never happens. And who said i'm going to do a 9-team parlay every week? the only reason i'm doing a 9-teamer is because i won a 3-teamer and i can afford to risk $20 because i won 120. And as to ur comment about doubling, i would have to lose about 60 times for me to have to actually doulbe my bet, because a $20 bet on a 9-team parlay pays out anywhere from 1000-2400 (with reasonable choices, if u want to pick pure underdogs it'll go up to 10,000). so i wouldn't have to double my bet EVER, i could even cut it in half and all i need is one win to go over the top. It's like the lotto, but better odds... you could play lotto your whole life, and always lose, but it only takes $1 and if u win once, u've won everything back and some.

First off Soccer is a great sport as well. And i don't know about him, but at my casino www.sportsbook.com the only time you lose in a tie is with soccer, because you can either bet win/lose/tie. With football or baseball if there is a tie, that game is discarded from your parlay. and i'm not getting shitty odds, i know you were talking to him, but who says he is, 5$ for 100 that's 20to1, if he picked all favored teams, thats possible. I've picked a 4-team that gave me 6 to 1 because they were all favored by like -300 and higher (err.. lower).

And what is this whole cardboard card? all i do is click a few boxes, type in my credit card number, and there's my bet. I actually get bonuses on how much i deposit as well...

@ amikichi... the 20/1 is standard..you can find better if you look harder. I was referring to that payout on the 8 and 9 team parlay. As far as the ties go...exactly my point...online even..you will push on a tie with a parlay..on the sucker cards..you LOSE...PERIOD. And they set you up for it big time with the lines. Notice there isn't a single 1/2 line on any spread? That is intentional..another reason why the cards are referred to as Sucker Cards.

As far as your parlays go...you got it right....the team that was favored paid you less because they were minus 300. So if you bet that play straight..that means you'd have to lay 300 to win 100. The standard odds on a 4 team parlay is 10/1 ..you got 6/1 because of the favorites..and this is something completely different then putting in a play for a 8 or 9 team parlay..even if it is a legit bet..you still won't win.

As a matter of fact..i'd guarantee that you can go the rest of the year and pick 9 games WITHOUT THE SPREAD..just pick the WINNER/LOSER..and you still won't win. So take that and add the spread into the mix...and it's beyond ridiculous. But that's the persons business making the play...I was making a very valid point. I guess they didn't like the "SUCKER CARD" lingo..unfortunately for them..that's exactly how the book calls it. IF you know a bookie...which it looks like you don't because your putting your plays in online..but if you happen to know one...say these words...how happy are you on Friday when the "SUCKER CARDS" are collected. Watch the smile on their face.

And as far as online sites go...they are shitty too..yea they give you benefits..but every time you want to collect..you have to pay to get your money. In addition...those match plays and bonuses they give you for "re-uping" have many restrictions. Find a book and put your plays in with them. If you like the online sites...here's more good info...the #1 rated online site is www.betus.com They were one of the few sites a couple of years ago..and HBO and Bryant Gumbell had a big report on them..saying they were the most legit and respected of all the off shore sites.
