Ok I am hoping someone can help me.
When I try to extract a .wav file using virtualdub I get the following error and I can't find anyone else who is having it: see attached
I have no problems using goldwave to do it that works fun but is always a little low in volume.
Can anyone please help me fix this
Cheers
Brendan

bugster is exactly right - I don't know how or why GoldWave is so good at extracting audio from nuisance videos, but it is..
Just normalise the volume in GoldWave (Effects->Volume->Maximise).
If VirtualDub did manage to extract the audio, it wouldn't make it any louder for you.
cheers,
mcdruid.
P.S. don't be surprised if you get A/V sync problems when you encode this by-the-way. Even if the video stream does not have errors in it, it looks like the audio stream might have.
