  1. Ok I am hoping someone can help me.

When I try to extract a .wav file using virtualdub I get the following error and I can't find anyone else who is having it: see attached

I have no problems using goldwave to do it that works fun but is always a little low in volume.

Can anyone please help me fix this

    Cheers
    Brendan

  2. If goldwave work, use it, but also use it to increase the volume before saving!

  3. bugster is exactly right - I don't know how or why GoldWave is so good at extracting audio from nuisance videos, but it is..

Just normalise the volume in GoldWave (Effects->Volume->Maximise).

If VirtualDub did manage to extract the audio, it wouldn't make it any louder for you.

    cheers,
    mcdruid.

P.S. don't be surprised if you get A/V sync problems when you encode this by-the-way. Even if the video stream does not have errors in it, it looks like the audio stream might have.
