  1. i am trying to burn tvshows in mpg on a dvd. i use tmpgenc dvd author, and when i burn it the sound slowly goes out of sync on every episode. i want to try to rip the audio from the mpg and use it in tmpgenc dvd author, but it only supports pcm and certain mpeg layer 1. i tryed virtualdub but the output isnt compatible. thank you please help

    I can tell you the way I do it, and maybe it will be of some help. I capture from my VCR to VCD MPEG. I edit out the commercials using the merge/cut function of TMPENGC, and then reencode the output file from the merge/cut function to a VCD MPEG file. I've noticed that if you do any editing to an MPEG file, the timecode gets destroyed, and that's what causes the sync issues. Reencoding the edited file creates a new continuous timecode. Or. you could capture directly to an AVI, since an edited AVI usually has no sync issues.
