I recently authored and burned a disk of recorded Simpsons episodes for my kids. The files are encoded at 352 x 480 with low bitrate allowing 15 or so episodes per disk with enought quality to satisfy the kids.
I authored the disk using dvd-lab trial, creating VIDEO_TS folder and files on my HDD since dvd-lab doesn't seem to communicate with my NEC1300 burner. On viewing the disk from the HDD files, fast-forward works normally. Once burned (using both Nero and copytodvd), though, the video freezes on fast-forward both on my stand alone as well as on computer DVD players and burner. Once the video freezes, the audio continues, but there is no way to restart the video.
I have ripped the files back from the DVD to my HDD and they work fine when run from my hard drive. I have reauthored the disk with another program and it runs fine.
Any thoughts???

you may need to pAD OUT YOUR VIDS with a min bitrate of say 300kbs. 15 eps per dvd sounds like the bitrate is already v.v. low this may be your problem. Come on! your kids deserve better 7 eps per dvd max!
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.

Actually, the bitrate was 1500 VBR. Like I say, the exact same files were authored using Ulead with the disk working fine.
