    using ffmpegX 0.0.9

    i have a vob file, taken from a dvd with 0SEX. the audio in this movie starts off later than the video. after converting the vob to svcd (with ksvcd and mplayer, because i want subtitles too), the audio is not in sync with the movie. i assume it's because of the fact mentioned before.

    how can i solve this? how can i efficiently and not just with my wristwatch measure the time it takes until the audio comes in the vob file? and where do i enter this in ffmpegX?

    thank you!

    . .

  2. 1. Select SVCD preset
    2. Go to the options tab and enter a sync value in ms in the "sync" field
    3. Go to the tools tab. Select the elementary video and audio file of your offsync svcd in the browse fields.
    4. Select "Mux as.. SVCD".

    thank you!
    now that i learned how to let ffmpegX correct this, how can i precisely measure how many ms the audio is offset in the vob file?

    by the way, how non-standard is 48 kHz on a SVCD? i already tried both 48 and 44.1 kHz when i tried to figure out why the audio isn't in sync, but neither helped.
