Hi!
I'm in possesion of a Pinnacle PCTV Rave,
my question is if it's possible to put the card in our dual p3 800mhz linux server running redhat 8.1, and then stream the video to a windiws client and do software realtime enconding on that machine?
If anyone knows a program/ a bunch of programs hat can do this then please tell me, icq uin #115175008

I do all video capture on WinXP stright to vcd/svcd or dvd and store on the fly to my Linux Box. I then Do all and I mean all of my video editing and burning under linux. I could capture vcd or svcd in linux but I dont want to take the time to re-encode it.

However none of these comes close to Avidemux for simple cutting or encoding. As for DVD aurthoring I read all the howtos and ended up writing my own aurthoring program. Take about 20 Min to create an iso from a 4g movies. The funny thing is when I was doing my dvd authoring under windows my dvd would take forever to start in my stand alone dvd player, but the ones I've done under Linux start almost immediately.
