    Hi everyone
    This is Cristian, from Argentina
I need some help here. It's not that I'm a newbie at all. I've been making VCDs for a long time, and I'm familiar with many programs, such as TMPGEnc, VirtualDub and even DVD2SVCD.
DVD2SVCD works perfect in my computer, but I got a friend that is trying to make it work and it always brings the same error at some point. Since my friend does not speak english, I'm asking for help for him
OK, he's got the same version of DVD2SVCD as me (1.2.1 Build 3).
Here is what he sent me:

I have used this program extensively. You may have another program or other versions of the programs within DVD2SvCD running that are interfering. If you haven't deleted DVD2SVCD and reinstalled, try that. Usually access errors are caused by corrupt data or corrupt memory, but usually that shows up during the encode, not during audio extraction. Try safe mode, sometimes that helps. Has he got enough memory installed? DVD2SCD can act strange at times. You might try an older version. Go to the DOOM9 site for more tips.

    Hi redwudz
Thanks so much for your help
Sadly, most of the things you pointed out we already tried, like trying old versions of the program, erasing everything and reinstalling. The machine has 256 of memory.
The only thing I couldn't find is the "safe mode" you mentioned. Where is it in the program?
    Thanks so much)))))))

PS: I've been looking for info at www.doom9.org but couldn't find anything at all related to this kind of error

Safe mode frameserving is under the encoder window, though I don't think that will help as it happens after the audio stage. I see you are using vstrip for ripping. Have you tried the internal routine instead?. If you haven't done it, you could run a memory test program, though as I said, usually memory problems don't show up till the encoder stage. Sorry, I don't have any more ideas presently.
