Pretty much a noob so hopefully you can help.
I have been using this drive to make backups of movies for the kids so I do not damage the original (really). Previously I had a plain DVD drive that I used with DVD Shrink to make the backups.
Today I pulled the DVD Drive for repair, I find that I cannot use the DRU510A with DVD Shrink, when I select the disk it reports a Copy Protection error. I reinstalled the original DVD Drive and this worked without issue.
Is there something about the DRU510A causing this ?
Thanks
T

Could it possibly be a different region disc than was first used in the drive?
I recall (I think correctly) :c* that when I installed mine there were warnings that choosing a region would set that region.
I do not use mine for anything but burning, so I don't know it that helps, but thought I'd mention it.There's no place like 127.0.0.1
