  1. Advise needed

I have a pioneer burner that has been working fine.
The last five disks have only burnt 25% to 50% of the disk.
have been using two types of disk both rytek that have always worked fine for me, untill now, stange if this were a media problem because its unlikely to happen with both types of disk at the same time.
? so please lets have your comment do you think the burner is on the way out ( burner only 5 months old) or could it be a gremlin that has altered my system
? what would be the most likely cause
Please can you advise, thanks to all that reply

Did you upgrade your firmware or is "f" the original version?

Do you check your DVD file before burning it? Like with Daemon Tools or something if you are burning from an ISO?

What software do you use to burn with?

Try burning from an ISO file if you are not.

I seriously doubt that it is your media.

I would also ask if you are doing other things on your PC while it is burning? Even small events like screen savers could possibly disturb your burn process...they shouldn't...but they could.

You could also try restoring your computer to an earlier time...like when you could burn OK. You never know, some software might have gotten installed without your knowledge.
