  1. Hi.I`ve used Ulead Dvd Factory 2 to convert and then burn some downloaded divx files onto dvd.The process normally takes about 5 hours. When I play back the dvds, the sound his fine until about 50 mins in,when all of a sudden, the sound from earlier in the disc takes over!Is it a common problem?Do I need to convert the files to mpeg 2 first, rather than let Ulead convert them for me?Please help!

No. Stop downloading crap like that and your problem will go away all together. Start with crap, end up with crap. Get your videos the legit way! Key word "downloaded" = you get no help. That's final.

Buy a TV Tuner. Set it up for MPEG-2. And record VH-1 and MTV until you run out of hard drive space. Then edit and convert to DVix format. I've been doing this for the past 3 years and have a great collection of good quality material. But because most people who put that stuff out for downloading don't know what they are doing, you end up pulling your hair out trying to make it work. Many of the file are either corrupt, in PAL format when you need NTSC, or they have the wrong MPEG header. I'm just trying to save you alot of wasted time. Invest in the correct hardware and with a little learning on this site, you'll have all the GNR you want.
