TMPG error in Win XP

Ok well when i try to use Merge and Cut in TMPG i get the following error AFTER i click on run (which is after i choose where to cut the MPEG 2 in half).

Error: At address 73F91D04, Read error occured against address 73f91D04

then when i try to run it will FREEZE when it gets Output to File.

Anybody ever have this problem, any solutions, i have 40 GIGs if DVD to put on CD's but i can't because there to big, i need help desperatly. BBMPEG or something doesn't work it says

Error: The specified Module could not be found

Damn this sucks..

Use TMPGEnc to De-Multiplex your file.
Then use bbMPEG to Multiplex the portions you want.

*NOTE* There's a bug in bbMPEG for Windows XP. It 'closes automatically' if you try to load a m2v/mp2 file. To fix this, simply hit the LOAD button on the Main Window of bbMPEG before doing anything, then hit cancel. Then continue as normal.
