I have a pal in Sebastopol, Calif to whom I ship his ebayUK purchases.
He does the same for me for my US stuff.
I'm looking to buy a Canopus ADVC-100 and know it's cheaper over in the US.
We did this on a second harnd video card once - he tends to remove all packaging etc. to keep costs down but...
...would there be any problem with powering this thing, would I simply need a power adapter?
I'm familiar with the NTSC/PAL situation but I don't think this matters with the ADVC, right?
I'm not worried by possible customs costs, as I say he removes packaging, let's the dog have a chew, kicks it around the house a bit and describes as a $20 peice of junk on the form
Yes, I know, I'm a thieving criminal for defruading the authorities, I feel terrible![]()

I am sure you would have, had I given you enough time. It's just that it's on my wish list too, so I keep it on my favorite's menu.
Hello. -
That thing must be really expensive in your home. I still think I would get the DAC-100, but I'm sure you will be happy with either one. Too bad you can't power them from the buss power, then you wouldn't need to worry about finding a DC converter. If it is really good, it will come with a switching supply that will take 110/60Hz or 220/50Hz power.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they? -
