  1. Hi,

Got a backup of a movie which works fine on my PC in PowerDVD.
When i play it in my standalone it just says Disc loading and stays like that indefinately.
My player has been 'hacked' so it plays virtually everything and other backups i have made work.
I'm wondering if it may be something to do with the UDF version. How do i check what UDF version a dvd is? Can i use a program such as DVDecryptor to do that?

    Thanks

I believe nero will use UDF 1.50 in it's "DVD Movie" mode. I would suggest burning with the "UDF DVD" option. You can choose which format you want. The most compatable format is UDF 1.02.

  5. That could be done in nero (Ctrl+I).

I'd like to recommend ImgTool Classic, make iso with this prog and you will get a disc that is very compitable with almost any player that reads the media you have written to.

  6. yeah, it seems to work in my friends player.
I'll try "re-burning" in 1.02 mode and see if that works

    Thanks for all your help

Then burn one and check the UDF format with DVDInfoPRO.
