  1. Hi there dudes !!!!

I have a digital camera and I recorded couple of movies. After that I decided to make a VCD. But i couldn't find the right encoder to convert the QTclip to a supportable file so that I could burn it to a cd.I finally found the encoder. And I have a problem now because my younger brother deleted my whole disk C. Right now I'm trying to find this program I'm sure of it that this encoder was on this web site for free.Although I looked around and I haven't found it.So please guys if you know any encoder that can convert QTclip to a supportable format so that later on it'll be capable to rip. Thx dudes. and I hope you dudes will help me with my problem. bye

    Found through here: https://www.videohelp.com/tools.php#VideoEncoders

May be others there for you.
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

  5. You have to download TMPGEnc first (a link to its tools page should appear there automatically where it says TMPGEnc).

Then download the TMPGEnc Mov Plugin (again that text should be a link to the tool page).

When you've downloaded the plugin, you probably have to unzip it (use UltimateZip if you don't already have a program for archives).

    You'll then have a file called QTReader.vfp.

Copy this file into the main folder where you've installed TMPGEnc (i.e. into the same folder as you've put TMPGEnc.exe.)

TMPGEnc should now be able to open QuickTime files. There are lots of guides about how to use TMPGEnc on this site.

These ones might be particularly useful for you

You'll need to have the QuickTime codecs installed of course - get them from Apple's QuickTime download site.

Do the full installation when you get the option for Compact/Full(Recommended)/Custom etc..

Good luck - and keep your brother away from your computer!!

    cheers,
    mcdruid.

  6. It's me again 8)
I did the procedure you gave me above but tha'y not exactly what I meant. The problem is that I need some ptogram to encode the quick time clips that are from my digital camera. They are in an unsuported format and when I try to burn them on a cd I can't.So i'm lookinf for a program that I'm gonna be able to change the format so that I will be able to play it as a VCD in my DVD player. I know one thing that I've got this program from this site. Thx for your responds dudessssss.

  7. If you follow the steps above, TMPGEnc will be able to open QuickTime clips. It is an MPEG encoder, and therefore is able to encode anything it can open into MPEG-1 (VCD) or MPEG-2 (SVCD/DVD) - although the latter is time-limited in the trial version.

If TMPGEnc is not opening the clips from your digital camera (once you've installed the QT plugin), then they are not normal QuickTime clips.

What does gSpot say about the clips your camera produces?

What file extension are they saved as by default? (.avi, .mov etc..)

TMPGEnc will do what you have described if you follow the instructions above, so maybe what you are trying to do is not quite what you have described to us.

    cheers,
    mcdruid.
