Hi, I have this video that is in widescreen (without the black bars). I was wondering how to burn it onto VCD maintaining the widescreen? The video size is 704x396. I normally encode non-widescreen using these overscan techniques:

    Output size: 480x480
Video Arrange Method: Custom Center (420x420)

So is there a resolution to convert the video into using a variation of the above method? Also, the video I am using is 23.976fps. Should I convert it to 29.96fps or stay at 23?

  2. 480x480 is SVCD not VCD

Just make sure the source is set as 16:9, and use "Fullscreen Keep apect ratio" or custom at 480x360
    Ejoc's CVD Page:

    Capture:
VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author
