  1. Hello, I'd like to be able to run Nero from a CD, is this possible? Maybe even a thumb drive...

It seems to me if you burn the directory onto a CD, it should work. I do not know if it will work on every computer you stick the CD in. All the .dlls and such PCs use are sometimes not in the main program directory. But the bulk of the program will still be on the CD.

  3. Yes you can do that but I don't see the advantage of doing so. In fact it's a bad idea. First of all it's slower that running from a HD and less stable, and may result in a bad burn.Secondly you can only use it on your pc and not another because the necessary files must be in window and the registry for it to work properly. Thirdly you must ensure the drive letter of your cdrom remain the same if you add new hardware to your pc and the temp files must be located on your HD

  4. Thank you both for the replies. I realize that this i a bad way to do things, but at this point it's my only option. I would like to download... something... on a particular computer that happens to be on a T3 line. The speeds are amazing, 1.5mb/s+, only drawback is that there is security set up so you can not install any more software. I plan to get around this by installing burning software on a CD or thumbdrive and running it from there. I'm not really concerned with it being optimal or not, just that it will work once or twice. I'm going to try the thumb drive option. Wish me luck...
