Is this a media problems?

I am new to DVD burning – although I’m used to VCD, SVCD and Divx. I got an LG Super Multi DVD Writer. I’m using DVD Shrink 3.0 and Nero 6.

My DVD back-ups are freezing, briefly, on playback. This happens on 5 different DVD players – but the freezing points vary with the player. My first labeled sample was very bad; a second, unlabelled sample is much better but the freezing still happens occasionally.

The disks are unbranded but were bought from a reputable wholesaler.

Obviously I suspect the media but am puzzled by the different points of freezing with the different players.

Could the problem be anything except the media?

Why don't you try some memorex 4x dvd+r. they are on sale at bestbuy 25 pack for 29.99. If you still have problem then it is not media.

Problem Solved. After wasting 9 disks and lots of time (waiting for other disks to arrive), the problem was 100% the disks - which I identified as LONGTEN. New disks - Ritek 4x - record perfectly.
