  1. I'm converting my collection of DVD's to VCD's using DVD2AVI and Tmpgenc. After loading the mv2 file Tmpgenc will judge the field then fills out the rest of the data. Even though my DVD are different as far as the aspect ratio ( 4:3, 16:9, letterbox etc) Tmpgenc treats them all as 4:3 702X480 NTSC files. Should I manually change these settings according to the DVD??
    Thanks

  2. If you are using the tmpgenc wizard (which I highly recommend) then the default 'video input setting' is 4:3. You need to manually change that to 16:9 ntsc(unless it's european and then it would be pal). The 16:9 setting should only be that if dvd2avi says that is the setting. Now, you can change that in tmpenc output by going in 'other settings' and change the video arrange to 'full screen no margin'. This will change a true widescreen to amaphoric and an amaphoric to full screen. go to http://entiendo.gotnet.net/ for clarification
