  1. Hi
I have an mkv file with dual audio tracks and subtitles that i want ot convert to vcd-compliant MPEG-1. I have done this successfully with many other mkv files using VirtualDubMod (usually i demux and get an .avi, an .ogg, and a .srt). This paticular file, however, makes VDM crash just as it start "parsing makstroka file". It gives me the crash box. I saved the crash info if u want it.

i can open it fine graphedit tho... it plays fine basically

Is there another way i can demux the video stream and one audio stream and the subtitles...?

    Thanx alot!

  2. ok getting new mkv errors with 2 different mkvs, different problem: VDM while parsing the mkv file says: "No duration for subtitle"...
What does that mean, and is there another way to demux an mkv file??

    Thanx

  3. Hi,

I'm no expert on this, but as I write I am converting an mkv file to VCD using TMPGEnc. At first TMPGEnc refused to open the file, but after installing the Matroska Playback Pack ver.5, and installing the FFDSHOW (both available at the Matroska site) TMPGEnc will open both the audio and video without any problem (in Win2000). Maybe this will work for you as well.
