for some odd reason my tmpgenc client wont accept any of my downloaded mpeg clips, (mpeg 1 or 2), does anyone have any quick solutions for this problem, maybe its something in my environment variables.......holla back

If you're trying to open an mpg file to encode it in TMPG you will need either the latest version of TMPG or the mpeg2plugin for older versions. It's available in the tools section.

that sounds like another alternative, ill look and get back to yall

aiight guys, ive uninstalled and reinstalled, also added those plugins, nothing seems to work, i dont know, any other ideas....mind you that i also have main concept, its just that i dont know how to work it as good as tmpgenc, and main concept accepts my mpegs, as tmpgenc accepts my xvids, i should just learn how to encode using both huh...holla back

Hi SirCooks,
Just ran across the same error: "Invalid video source" whenever trying to open MPG1 in Project wizard. The scapegoat seems to be one single Checkbox in "Option->Enviromental settings...->General" "Enable multiplex with..." I checked it some time ago for what reason ever. After **unchecking** it TMPGEnc loads the MPG-Files without complain
. Give it a try an please report here if it worked for you.
Hope thats helpful. Bye
