    for some odd reason my tmpgenc client wont accept any of my downloaded mpeg clips, (mpeg 1 or 2), does anyone have any quick solutions for this problem, maybe its something in my environment variables.......holla back

    yup, mpg as well as mpeg..why does that make that much a difference

    And you have tried reinstalling TMPGEnc, and the files run on your software players?

    i haven't uninstalled and reinstalled the program but mpg and mpegs all run on my other software

  10. If you're trying to open an mpg file to encode it in TMPG you will need either the latest version of TMPG or the mpeg2plugin for older versions. It's available in the tools section.

    aiight guys, ive uninstalled and reinstalled, also added those plugins, nothing seems to work, i dont know, any other ideas....mind you that i also have main concept, its just that i dont know how to work it as good as tmpgenc, and main concept accepts my mpegs, as tmpgenc accepts my xvids, i should just learn how to encode using both huh...holla back

    no i dont, and from what ive seen from attempting to use it before , its pretty hard, im not saying i cant learn it, im just saying it will take a while, why?....what good will that prog do for me..holla back

    Well, it can make TMPGEnc open your MPEG files. Do you know how to frameserve with Virtual Dub mod?

    point me to the guide that will allow avi synth to open my files, let me look at it and attrempt it, no i do not know how to frameserve using v-dub mod..holla back

  21. Hi SirCooks,

    Just ran across the same error: "Invalid video source" whenever trying to open MPG1 in Project wizard . The scapegoat seems to be one single Checkbox in "Option->Enviromental settings...->General" "Enable multiplex with..." I checked it some time ago for what reason ever. After **unchecking** it TMPGEnc loads the MPG-Files without complain . Give it a try an please report here if it worked for you.
